Hi everyone! Welcome to the 2nd Annual Gold Coast Festival of Cycling, a weekend full of cycling and community events including "my" Robbie's Gran Fondo presented by Ausenco.
Cycling as a sport and recreation has seen explosive growth over the last decade and as more and more people take up riding and their ability improves they start looking for bigger challenges and new cycling experiences. After spending my professional career in Europe riding all the big races like the Tour, Giro & Vuelta and seeing the quality of recreational events such as L'etape du Tour, Gran Fondo's in Italy and the Tour of Flanders Cyclosportive I thought it would be great to bring such an event to the Gold Coast.
